ETRC is not a commercial boarding stable. It is a co-operative: the barn is owned by all club members equally, with rent based on expenses. Every member is responsible for tending their own horse or horses, and everyone shares in the maintenance of the facility. That is what has kept boarding affordable and the club thriving since 1945.
Membership Requirements
- Fill out a membership application
- Pay $150 yearly club membership dues
- Pay $100 per stall monthly for each horse
- Complete 40 work hours per year
- Attend at least 3 board meetings each year
The work hours are how the co-op keeps costs down: members pitch in on everything from stall and fence repair to grounds keeping and show-day setup. Board meetings are where the club’s business gets decided — every member has a voice, and the club is overseen by a board of 8 elected members.
